Sandblasting is tentatively scheduled to resume on Monday, June 14th. Please expect mid-high level noise associated with this work. CoV has been working to ensure better containment of dust/debris to avoid any concerns below the bridge. This work will take place Monday to Friday, and Saturday/Sunday, as the weather allows.
Scaffolding/Monorail Removal and Traffic Management Plans
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Granville Bridge work, you can contact City of Vancouver directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. For any other inquiries, contact the Tenant Coordinators.
- CoV will continue working to remove the scaffolding on the bridge at the head of the Island, and will require that the current Traffic Management Plan at the entrance/exit be implemented again for only Monday, June 14th.
- They will also be working to remove scaffolding above Creekhouse, with an exclusion zone set up in the courtyard outside of The Sandbar's entrance from Wednesday to Friday.
- Finally, above the Creekhouse boardwalk, CoV will be working to remove the monorail hoist and will need to cordon off the boardwalk; access to businesses will be fully maintained and a spotter will be available to assist from Monday to Friday.
